Ben Bell – A National Treasure!
B.H. Bell is one of the world’s great bassoon makers – and lives here in Canada. From his roots as a performing bassoonist and his early years as workshop partner to Frank Marcus, Ben believed he would one day create bassoons of the very highest quality. That dream has true, and in the past 3 decades he has emerged as in immensely respected in the international bassoon community. Many of our Council of Canadian Bassoonists perform on instruments made by Ben and many others wish they did!
Ben has recently moved his production from his beloved workshop in Lakefield, Ontario to a new production facility in Peterborough. Take the time to read Ben’s new website. If you are lucky, you might one day own one of his beautifully crafted bassoons.
