The Council of Canadian Bassoonists is pleased to announce six new members of our Board of Directors:

 
 
Suzanne Nelsen, Stephen Franse, Thomas Roy-Rochette, Marlene Ngalissamy, Antoine St. Onge and Julia Nolan

 

 

Marlene Ngalissamy - bassoon
  • Suzanne Nelsen is the second bassoon of the Boston Symphony Orchestra
  • Stephen Franse was for decades the principal bassoon of the Calgary Philharmonic
  • Thomas Roy-Rochette is a member of the National Ballet Orchestra
  • Marlene Ngalissamy is the principal bassoonist of the Quebec Symphony
  • Antoine St. Onge is the current principal bassoon of the Calgary Philharmonic
  • Julia Nolan is professor of saxophone at the University of British Columbia – and an ardent amateur bassoonist

The Council welcomes these experienced and thoughtful musicians to our leadership.
