Calling bassoonists! The Vancouver Symphony Orchestral Institute has extended the application deadline for bassoon students to May 17th.
This world-class summer music program offers bassoonists, aged 14-28, an exciting and unique experience through three inspirational opportunities to work with the bassoon section of the Vancouver Symphony, Julia Lockhart and Sophie Dansereau, along with guest artists and with other faculty members drawn from the VSO and led by Maestro Otto Tausk, Music Director of the VSO.
The Professional Training Program and Young Musicians Program are fully online, offering in-depth performance and direct mentorship experiences and opportunities to interact with both faculty and fellow students. Students from the Greater Vancouver area can also join the in-person Chamber Music Intensive at the VSO School of Music.
